Our Approach & Values
Our Philosophy
Lasting institutional change begins with the relationships schools seek to cultivate: curiosity, trust, respect, and a shared commitment to learning. We prepare parents to model those values.
Our Approach
JPAS equips parents with the preparation, shared language, and practical frameworks to understand what happened think through their options and engage constructively when antisemitism or Jewish erasure arises.
Build Community
The JPAS Kehillah
We create a place where no Jewish parent stands alone.
A national community where Jewish parents connect, learn from one another, and benefit from the perspectives and experiences of parents across private K–12 schools.
Learn and Engage
The JPAS Suite
We prepare parents with knowledge, confidence, and capacity.
Handbook, one-pagers, and 1:1 guidance that help parents make sense of antisemitism and Jewish erasure and prepare to engage constructively with their school.
Deepen Understanding
The Inclusion Index
We learn what Jewish families experience across schools.
No single experience tells the whole story. The Inclusion Index organizes what families share over time, helping JPAS see whether something happening today echoes what happened years earlier, or resembles what's happening at other schools.
Core Values
Student Safety and Dignity
Every child deserves to learn in a school community where they feel safe, respected, and able to express their identity without fear of bias, hostility, or exclusion.
Israel and Jewish Identity
Israel is an essential part of Jewish history, identity, and the story of the Jewish people. JPAS recognizes Israel as the Jewish homeland and does not take positions on Israeli policy or the specifics of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Education as Prevention
Education about Jewish identity, history, and antisemitism counters misinformation, provides context, and strengthens informed and inclusive learning environments.
Collaboration Over Polarization
Constructive collaboration builds trust, deepens understanding, and strengthens school communities.
Constructive Engagement
Engagement grounded in strategy, clarity and preparation drives meaningful, lasting change.
