JPAS documents incidents of antisemitism, experiences of Jewish erasure, and what's going well. All of it matters. Community Insights captures all three, because understanding Jewish life in private K–12 schools requires more than just tracking acts of hate.
Reporting an Issue
Acts of antisemitism or discrimination directed at Jewish students or families: harassment, bullying, threats, vandalism, swastikas, or discriminatory treatment. These deserve prompt attention and documentation.
Share an Experience
Experiences of Jewish erasure or exclusion that shape identity and belonging, even when no single incident occurred: curriculum gaps or misrepresentation, classroom discussions lacking historical context or nuance, Jewish holidays and observances overlooked in school life, or moments when Jewish students felt unseen or unable to express their identity.
Sharing an experience is not about blame. Erasure requires no intent; patterns form quietly, one omission at a time, in schools that care deeply about their students.
Share What's Going Well
Positive experiences matter too: a sukkah on campus for the first time, a thoughtful response to an incident, a lesson that taught Jewish history with care. Sharing what's working helps JPAS recognize practices that strengthen Jewish identity and belonging.
Your privacy matters
We ask for basic contact information so we can follow up. JPAS never shares your personal or identifying information, including your name, your family’s identity, or your school’s name. Only you can decide to make your own story public. What we share with partner organizations, schools and accreditation bodies is aggregate data with no names attached. You can ask that any specific issue stay known to JPAS only.

Whether you are reporting an incident of antisemitism, sharing an experience of Jewish erasure, or telling us what's going well, what you share helps JPAS deepen our understanding of Jewish life in private K–12 schools. Community Insights organizes what families share about their Jewish experience at school, making recurring patterns visible.
When in doubt, share
You never have to decide which category fits, or whether something qualifies. Submit it anyway. Our team reviews every submission and documents it appropriately. If you’re uncertain, we’d rather hear from you.
