JPAS documents two kinds of information, and both matter. Incidents of antisemitism deserve to be reported and addressed. Experiences of Jewish erasure, often quieter, shape Jewish students’ daily lives just as powerfully. The Inclusion Index captures both, because understanding Jewish life in private K–12 schools requires more than just tracking acts of hate.
Reporting an Issue
Acts of antisemitism or discrimination directed at Jewish students or families: harassment, bullying, threats, vandalism, swastikas, or discriminatory treatment. These deserve prompt attention and documentation.
Share an Experience
Experiences of Jewish erasure or exclusion that shape identity and belonging, even when no single incident occurred: curriculum gaps or misrepresentation, classroom discussions lacking historical context or nuance, Jewish holidays and observances overlooked in school life, or moments when Jewish students felt unseen or unable to express their identity.
Sharing an experience is not about blame. Erasure requires no intent; patterns form quietly, one omission at a time, in schools that care deeply about their students.
Your privacy matters
We ask for basic contact information so we can follow up if needed and protect the integrity of what we document. JPAS never shares or discloses your personal or identifying information; only you can decide to make your own story public. What informs our understanding, and what we share with partner organizations and schools, is aggregate data: patterns across families and schools, with no names attached. If you'd rather an issue you share stay known to JPAS only, just let us know.
Your experience matters
Whether you are reporting an incident of antisemitism or sharing an experience of Jewish erasure, what you share helps JPAS deepen our understanding of Jewish life in private K–12 schools. Across families and over time, recurring patterns may become visible, providing context that no single experience can show on its own.
When in doubt share
You never have to decide which category fits, or whether something qualifies. Submit it anyway. Our team reviews every submission and documents it appropriately. If you’re uncertain, we’d rather hear from you.
